The little church beside the road,

Means very much to me;

for there my burdens I unload,

And spiritual truths I see.

Within its doors I find the rest,

the world can never give;

and there I learn to meet life's tests,

and better ways to live.

When burdens press upon my soul,

I find a precious peace;

and to my heart come joys untold,

then from my soul release.

Oh little church beside the road,

God bless your ministry;

And through the years may souls unload,

Their cares and may be free
